Around 2 am on April 30th Erykah felt her first strong pains of labor! My mom sister and I arrived at the hospital at 4:30. She progressed quickly and stayed with her commitment to have a completely natural birth. Eyrkah showed true strength and courage this morning!! As the time to push got closer the Alyx's heart rate went down. It stay too low for too long and in a moment of complete fear (by us) and organized chaos (by the staff) each member of the team stepped up, did there part and rolled her off for an emergency C section. We waited in anticipation for news of their safety and health.... 10 long minutes later a nurse passed by and we heard the news that both baby and mom were doing well.
